Global Church Licensing Organization Licenses Interactive Sheet Music Player OREM, Utah, Jan. 18 /PRNewswire/ -- Christian Copyright Licensing International (CCLI), an organization that provides copyright solutions to nearly 200,000 churches and schools throughout the world, and mediaRAIN, a world leader in Web applications and design, announced today they have entered into a long-term contract. After nearly a year of research, CCLI has chosen to license mediaRAINs new interactive sheet music player, musicRAIN Version 2.0, as the best method to offer its repertoire of more than 10,000 lead sheets to its subscribers. musicRAIN 2.0, the first music player accessible using only an Internet browser, will be integrated to enhance CCLIs SongSelect Advanced application, which currently allows CCLI licensees to print and download a vast selection of Christian sheet music. The new musicRAIN software offers CCLI an industry-leading, customizable solution that allows users to experience the sheet music interactively, including altering the key and tempo, saving preferred scores to their Favorites list and more. The musicRAIN Player will also offer CCLI members premium vector printing capabilities and smooth-pixel display. "For more than 17 years, CCLI has sought opportunities to better serve the network of churches, schools and individuals we represent," said Howard Rachinski, CEO and president of CCLI. "There is no technology better suited to complement SongSelect Advanced and the CCLI mission, which is to encourage the spirit of worship through music, than the musicRAIN player." One of the primary reasons CCLI chose to license musicRAIN is the Digital Rights Management and advanced security features it offers music publishers. CCLI was also impressed with the fact that the musicRAIN interface can be completely customized to adopt CCLIs look. CCLI and others can use musicRAIN as a more affordable distribution tool, allowing customers easy access to their entire sheet music libraries. "We could not be more pleased with the partnership between mediaRAIN and CCLI," said Andrew Howlett, president of mediaRAIN. "We are delighted the members of CCLI have selected mediaRAIN to provide a quality musical experience to those they serve and we look forward to a very promising partnership." In addition to the licensing of musicRAIN, CCLI has asked mediaRAIN to provide custom web design and additional Flash animation to further enhance SongSelect Advanced.
