ATLANTA, Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Hooters of America announced that Noela Cartagena has been promoted to Director of HOA Store Marketing from her current position as Marketing Manager. "This promotion is reflective of the tremendous job Noela has done over the past several years in leading our company stores local advertising and promotional efforts and the increased responsibility that she has as a result of the growth of our company store system," stated Mike McNeil, VP of Marketing for Hooters of America. In 2006 Hooters corporately owned and operated stores will generate over $250 million in sales, of the projected $1 Billion system wide sales, and Noela will oversee the media purchases and assist company stores with local promotional spending as well. Noela joined Hooters of America in 1996 in her hometown of Augusta, Georgia. While working in the store, she attended college at Augusta State University and graduated with a BBA in Marketing in 1999. Following her graduation she was named the Area Marketing Manager for the Carolina Region. In 2001 she was brought into the corporate office as Marketing Manager where she has served for the past 5 years. Hooters of America, Inc. is the franchiser and operator of more than 410 Hooters restaurants in 46 states and 16 foreign countries. The first Hooters opened in 1983 in Clearwater, Florida. Hooters is well known for its brand of food and fun, featuring a casual beach-theme atmosphere, a menu that features seafood, sandwiches and Hooters signature chicken wings, and service provided by the All-American cheerleaders, the Hooters Girls.
