STOWE, Vt., Dec. 27 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ice Bar cometh, and its twice as
grand as last year. The Rusty Nail Bar and Grille, a landmark bar and
restaurant in Stowe, VT, has created its novelty attraction for the second
year in a row - an outdoor bar sculpted entirely of ice. The Ice Bar opened
Christmas weekend and will be visible this year from the dining room of the
restaurant.
Ice Works, a Pennsylvania company, used more than 20 tons of ice in
constructing the bar and furniture, which includes a two-person ice throne,
tall ice tables and a 25-foot ice bar with two liquor luges. The only one of
its kind in the Northeast, the Ice Bar was brought to the Rusty Nail by
Absolut(R) Vodka. Inspired by the ice bars of Quebecs winter carnival, the
spacious 800-square-foot area is enclosed by 8-foot-tall ice walls.
"The Ice Bar will be visually accessible to more patrons this year because
of its new location off of the dining room," said Ken Walters, the Rusty
Nails general manager. "It was a great success last year and weve doubled
the space to make the bar even more spectacular. Its absolutely
breathtaking."
The Rusty Nail Bar and Grille is open seven days a week for lunch and
dinner and offers live entertainment (local, regional and national acts) year-
round on Fridays and Saturdays. The Ice Bar opens at 3:00 p.m. daily, weather
permitting. For more information or to schedule a visit, please contact Ken
Walters at 802.253.6245 (NAIL).
